Crisp uncirculated from central-bank issued pack.

This banknote was issued in 1960 and 1961 and was the only one in its family, there were no other denominations in this design. It was nicknamed the "Índio" as the note featured an indigenous Amazon man. On the back there was a raftsman and the Amazon water lily, Victoria amazonica.

The word "cruzeiros" written in large letters can be regarded as 1940s late art deco in style.
