United Kingdom & Dependencies
Banknotes and coins from the United Kingdom and dependencies. In the U.K. proper, notes are printed by the Bank of England, 3 banks in Scotland and 3 banks in Northern Ireland. The crown dependencies of Guernsey and Jersey (the Channel Islands) as well as the Isle of Man have their own pound currencies, as do the overseas territories of Gibraltar, the Falkland Islands, and Saint Helena (which also circulate on Ascension). All print their own currencies, and their local pound is exactly equal in value to one British pound.
