Banknotes and coins from the Caribbean islands of Curaçao and Sint Maarten, which along with Aruba and the Dutch mainland, form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Note that the northern half of the island of St. Martin is a French territory called Saint-Martin.

All six Dutch islands in the Caribbean were originally called Curaçao and dependencies, for which the Curaçao guilder was created in 1940, pegged to the US dollar, more relevant for the local economy than the Dutch currency. In 1964, the six islands gained self-government within the Kingdom as the Netherlands Antilles (N.A.). The Curaçao guilder became the N.A. guilder (ANG or NAf).

Aruba, Curaçao's rival, left the N.A. in 1986, becoming its own country within the Kingdom and launching the Aruban florin (AWF).  The N.A. were dissolved on October 10, 2010:

• Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba became "special municipalities" of the mainland (European) Netherlands.
• Curaçao and Sint Maarten became separate constituent countries within the Kingdom, like Aruba already was. They continued to use the N.A. guilder for 15 more years until 2025, when they launched their joint currency, the Caribbean guilder (XCG). The central bank suggested the abbreviation Cg, but the locals use XCG, the ISO code.

Banknotes are the same for both islands. Coins have one common side showing King Willem-Alexander, while the other side has distinct designs for each island. However, all coins circulate on both islands.
